Fleming Physical Therapy Consultants PC is very proud to be a part of advancing the practice of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy. Dr. Robert Fleming PT, DPT, OCS is a Senior Faculty Advisor for the Fellowship Program in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy offered by Maitland Australian Physiotherapy Seminars. Fellowship Program in Orthopedic Manual Therapy

The fellowship experience combines opportunities for ongoing mentoring and formal and informal feedback to the physical therapist fellow in training, including required written and live patient practical examinations, with a foundation in scientific inquiry, evidence-based practice, and course work designed to provide a theoretical basis for advanced practice. Each program is based on a well-defined, systematic process for establishing content validity of the curriculum that describes practice in a defined area. Mentoring is provided by a Fellowship Trained Physical Therapist, as Dr. Fleming PT, DPT, OCS is.

The program includes activities that promote the physical therapist fellow in training continued integration of practice, research, and scholarly inquiry, consistent with the program’s mission and philosophy. An evaluation component helps to ensure that the stated goals are being met by the physical therapist fellow-in-training through the curriculum plan.

Why does this make a difference?

Fellowship trained Physical Therapists have advanced knowledge and skills that can provide their patients with cutting edge Physical Therapy interventions for a variety of issues (i.e. spinal pain, shoulder issues etc) that can lead to better outcomes for their patients.

Fleming Physical Therapy Consultants PC and Dr. Robert Fleming PT, DPT, OCS are the proud recipients of the ‘Center of Excellence Award’ in Recognition of ‘Excellence in Education in Orthopedic Manual Therapy’.
